Infrasound
EPAW have an interesting article on their website titled "Wind Turbines are hazardous to Human Health" by Alec N. Salt, Ph.D., Cochlear Fluids Research Laboratory, Washington University in St. Louis. This article stresses the insanity of 550 metre setbacks for wind turbines.

"Britain is becoming less windy"
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/energy/windpower/8261827/Britain-is-becoming-less-windy-raising-doubts-over-Governments-wind-farm-strategy.html
Another important article by Andrew Gilligan in today's Sunday Telegraph, highlighting the the fact that the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) is now probably in a negative phase, which will mean colder winters with less wind for Britain and Europe.
According to the article: "On the coldest days of last month, when the need for power was at its greatest, there was virtually no wind, Britain's 3500 wind turbines were largely idle and almost no electricity was generated by them. "
As he points out at his conclusion, politicians may not be bothered by campaigners protesting about the destruction of the countryside..."But they know that large-scale power cuts, or huge fuel bill rises, would destroy any government that presided over them."

Paul Hudson's Weather Blog
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulhudson/2011/01/coal-takes-the-strainagain.shtml
It's good to see this on a BBC site, since the BBC has in general seemed to be in love with wind turbines...
On this page of his blog, he highlights the dangers facing us if we close down our coal and gas power stations and rely too much on wind.
He quotes Professor Mike Lockwood at Reading University who thinks we may have colder winters more often in the near future. If his forecasts are correct, we will not only have colder winters, but less wind. Has anyone told Chris Huhne "we have a fantastic amount of resource in wind energy"), Nick Clegg, David Cameron and Ed Milliband ("...it is socially unacceptable to be against wind turbines") this?

Jane speaks with her town representative
Another brilliant video...
In this video, Jane makes the point that wind farm advocates use computer models rather than real-world data to prove their arguments.
As Christopher Booker highlighted recently in the Sunday Telegraph, the information is out there now: we can all look it up. When we need it, wind power cannot be relied upon.
this is a quote from his article:
"More than once in the past week, as our power stations have been thrashed way beyond normal peak power demand, the contribution of wind turbines has been so small that it has registered as 0 per cent. (See the website for the New Electricity Trading Arrangements: Google “neta electricity summary page”, and find the table of “source by fuel type”."
Go also to the excellent Presentation that Jane mentions in the the video shown above:
